• I'd be happy with Sydney-Seattle direct or Sydney-Perth-Paris but I don't think Brisbane-Chicago will happen. Seemed like an okay idea in 2019 when it was announced but now we are probably looking at sometime in 2024 before Qantas can spare the 787s once the last three A380s coming back, and I re...

  • That's my standard 'uniform' on most visits to the Qantas Singapore First lounge and before that when I wasn't Platinum to the business lounge, given the weather in Singapore, just a smart pair of shorts and a nice T-shirt. Super comfortable, looks decent, nobody will complain.

  • That's very strange, in my many visits with my wife who is a 'pescetarian', ie vegetarian who east fish, there is always some suitable meat-free meal on offer. If there was no meat-free dish at all then I can understand why you'd want to bring something into the lounge.

  • No, this article doesn't suggest that the extra flights would put QR "at the same level as SQ, CX and EK", it says "the Qatari flag-carrier had been seeking to add one extra daily flight each for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, which would lift it closer to the levels long enjoyed by the...

  • The short answer is YES, Virgin Australia would certainly use its Boeing 777s for east-west flights if the economics stacked up. Airlines are a business and it pretty much all comes down to economics. Qantas would use A380s for east-west flights if those economics stacked up, too. But to make tho...

  • Very interesting but not much of a 'saving'.
